This workshop is aimed at those who would like to undertake, or advance their expertise in consultancy for developers with respect to bats. It will include an overview of bat ecology and the law, appropriate survey techniques, the survey effort required, methods of data analysis, how to deal with that missed bat and how to meet the client’s requirements. There will be worked examples explaining why working for developers is good for bats.

Who should attend this workshop?
Consultants, planners, statutory organisations and NGO’s.  All those looking to undertake, specify and interpret bat surveys for development.

How to specify and undertake development surveys for bats.  To include bat behaviour and ecology, legislation, identification and sound analysis, survey planning, health safety and welfare, recording and reporting, development licences and case studies.
