Coastal vegetated shingle is a globally rare feature, listed on the Habitats Directive, a UK BAP habitat and supports many rare species. This workshop introduces the variety of biological and geomorphological features associated with this habitat, their sensitivity and mitigation during development. There will be an opportunity to work on the Dungeness SAC, Britain’s most diverse shingle beach.
