Further details about the workshop

Participants at the workshop will become familiar with the BREEAM/Code methodology and how this is applied within a development. The focus will be on maximisingthe ecological benefit that can be gained from using BREEAM/Code and going beyond, well beyond, simply recommending bird and bat boxes.

Using completed assessments as examples where appropriate, each ecology credit will be discussed individually, including the use of BRE’s ecology calculator. A key aim will be to encourage participants to view the ecological possibilities available under the current system in as holistic a manner as possible from an ecological perspective, while still working with clients to obtain as many credits as possible within their budget.
