Water Vole Conservation and Development

This two-day workshop will cover: an introduction to water vole biology; handbook updates of relevance to developers; mitigation options; receptor site design; project outcome; techniques and equipment; capture and care; practical animal handling session; water vole history; legal status; decline and BAP targets; key sites; mink control; water vole restoration; and future prospects. Both days will include practical field sessions to look at field sign identification, equipment use and habitat creation.
