Introduction to Phase 1 Habitat Survey

This workshop will enable participants to conduct a Phase 1 Habitat Survey, including scoping to identify sites where further botanical survey should be recommended. There will be some assistance with plant identification (mostly vegetative due to the time of year) but the focus of the workshop is on survey methodology. Day one will cover survey methodology, mapping techniques and fieldwork to identify habitats. On the second day participants will conduct their own survey of an urban-fringe ‘development’ site and report the results.
NB. Accommodation IS NOT included in the cost of this workshop.
