Spend a day in the field learning to identify common hedgerow flowering plants and trees. Try your hand at assessing hedges against the Hedgerow Regulations criteria to help you recognise protected and important hedges.
IEEM Members: £80 (£70 if booked before 10 March 2010).
Non-members: £160 (£140 if booked before 10 March 2010).
Who should attend this workshop?
Environmental consultants and conservation volunteers alike looking to increase their knowledge of flowering plants and trees and to look at how to assess hedges to see if they are protected under the Hedgerows Regulations.
Anything participants need to know/read before coming on the training event, or need to have with them?
Bring with you:
- Packed lunch and drink.
- Outdoor clothes and sturdy shoes.
- Plant ID books (e.g. Collins Wild Flowers of Britain and Ireland, Wild Flower Key by Rose)
