Best Practice Awards
Annual awards for projects displaying best practice in the fields of ecology and environmental management.
Entries of projects that demonstrate best practice in one or more of the award categories are invited from all sectors of the ecology profession including the public, voluntary and consultancy sectors. Projects of any size will be considered.
The deadline for entries is 23 July 2012.
The award categories are:
i. Outstanding Achievement in Practical Nature Conservation
Enhances biodiversity and/or ecosystem functioning e.g. projects that deliver significant enhancement or creation of biodiversity assets by going ‘above and beyond’ what is required.
ii. Outstanding Innovation
Advances the profession of ecology and environmental management e.g. projects that advance the profession through innovative concepts, design, delivery or practical application
iii. Outstanding Knowledge Exchange and Promoting Best Practice
Furthers the knowledge-base of the profession of ecology and environmental management e.g. projects that improve evidence and ways of working through the production, storage and dissemination of policy, guidance, advice and practical tools (i.e. GIS, databases, toolkits etc).
