IEEM Membership
Membership of IEEM is open to individuals who are practising ecologists, graduates and students of ecology and environmental disciplines, and to others who are interested in the profession of ecology and environmental management living in the UK or overseas.
All members of IEEM must abide by the Code of Professional Conduct and are required to complete 20 hours of CPD (Continuing Professional Development) each year.
The membership year is 1 October – 30 September.
Student > (£20) membership is open to those engaged in a full time course that has a high content of ecology or environmental management.
Affiliate > (£50) membership in open to individuals without the necessary qualifications or experience.
Graduate > (£50) membership is open to individuals who possess a relevant qualifications for such time as is necessary to meet the minimum professional experience requirements for Associate Membership.
Associate > (£80) membership is open to suitably qualified individuals but who lack the necessary professional experience.
Full > (£120) membership normally requires at least a relevant second-class degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years suitable professional practice.
Fellow (£120) membership requires full member status and the achievement of excellence in your field.
Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) - full members of IEEM can become a chartered environmentalist through the Society for the Environment. For more details click here.
